As the Henderson Lagoon empties with the out going tide, a short walk takes you to a spot where you can drift for a kilometre in warm clear water down this channel, before arriving at the sea. Hopefully there won't be a crop duster at work.

I love your sketches.

That is such an interesting area. Are those poppy fields in the background? Probably not, but that's one of the things that really struck me - the vast fields of pale lavender poppies.

there are indeed poppy fields in the background. Unusual for the east coast. The farmer has been doing some intensive agriculture. Falmouth residents are a little worried about its possible impact on the lagoon.
